Following the two very last shows of the Willem Breuker Kollektief on December 28 and 29,
the Kollektief will play a very, very last set as part of the Bimhuis New Year’s Eve concert- in the spirit of Klap op de Vuurpijl, (The Grand Finale)- the festival with which Willem Breuker (1944-2010) lit up the dark days between Christmas and New Year. The Kollektief will share the bill with two rare combinations: a unique meeting between probably the best-known jazz pianist and the most adventurous drummer in The Netherlands:
Louis van Dijk with Han Bennink, accompanied by double bassist Ernst Glerum.
Additionally, Actor Felix Strategierwill sing songs by Herman de Coninck in a trio featuring improvising cello player Ernst Reijseger and pianist Wolfert Brederode.
